Overview of the Role
As a Planning Director, you will beresponsible for providing leadership, fostering teamwork, ensuring best classcommunication on planning strategy and media execution for one or more brands. The aim is to build an integrated media strategy to address client’s overall communications and marketing challenges, working within an integrated team toplan, negotiate, purchase and execute campaign.
Key contact of daily communication with clients
Deliver strategies and media campaigns recommendations based on brief
Confidently present and participate in client meetings in English and Mandarin, both having and articulating a clear point of view
Build strong relationships withclients and media partners
Ensure “Execution Excellence” of whole team from brief to reporting delivery
Ensure the compliance of standard working process and make sure the deliverable is accurate
Project management: Prioritize tasks and appropriately delegate to individual members of the team, ensuring they are given adequate time, resource
KPI’s / Vision of success
Develop and build relationships with clients, be a trusted advisor on account requirements.
Responsible for overall campaign strategy, planning, implementation and post-campaign reviews for your set of brands
Set viable objectives and KPIs and recommend/develop measurement methodology against all briefs.
Ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies.
Work with the team on competitive reporting and analysis.
Propose and implement new planning approaches, ideas and product offerings.
Keep a close ear to the ground on new opportunities to take to clients
Help guide and advise the wider team on best practices, innovation and work processes.
Champion the growth and development of Agency services beyond media planning and buying.
Work with internal specialist resources and group resources.
Manage and develop your direct reports.
Experience of 8-10 years or more in 4A media industry.
Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources.
Competence in media planning across all platforms with a good understanding and working knowledge of TV/OOH/digital media.
A demonstrated depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent English communication skills.
Work under pressure, good at multi-task management and open to new media exploring
